Library of Alexandria

I’m in the Library of Alexandria! It’s not the same one that Cleopatra was in, it’s about 200 meters away from the site of where the old library was before it was destroyed. This is by far the most beautiful library I’ve ever been in. It’s a library and museum at the same time. It has this really cool printer thing “The Espresso” or something that can scan, copy, print, and bind an entire book to the same dimensions with color in under 20 minutes.

I think later today or tomorrow morning, we may visit the site of the Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world that is no longer in existence. Apparently the view from that point out onto the Mediterranean Sea is absolutely breathtaking. I can’t wait! Also, tomorrow, we’re going to visit the Graeco-Roman Museum with one of the world’s largest collections of Graeco-Roman artifacts. It should be pretty sweet as well.

Anyway, I just thought I’d check in and play around with the modern elements of the great Library of Alexandria. Hope all’s well state-side!
